"Normalacy"

Andrea says, "Good idea, speak for everyone at the Lance and watch everyone disagree with you," and laughs.

Ah, a normal day at The Lance. Actually, for us, "normal" has changed a lot within the past few weeks.

First off, our advisor left us to take a job at a middle school on the other side of town that is getting ridiculously violent. Yeah, black girl fights! Ripped hair and little plastic barrettes~ Oh wait, that's what it would have been when I was in elementary school, my bad. That probably sounded a little racist. Oh well.

So then we had to sit through the seemingly neverending onslaught of substitutes. We had one for a few days, she was weird. Then we had another, she was cool. Then we have one that was kinda psycho. Then there was the hippy guy, he was pretty passable. I actually thought he was gonna take over for a while but then I was proven wrong...

We got a new teacher. Of course... then our April issue sorta flopped because on the instability... that and the file gor corrupted and we had to start all over.

Moral is...

Whereas our old normalacy was sitting around chatting for an hour and a half, sometimes getting our work done... our new normalacy actually has a bit of a work ethic, even if it's a bit less fun. :)

We miss you Storchie, and we hope we make you proud!!
